Trade test Class C — Q1
Trade test question 1 — build it on screen before you build it in the exam room
Drawn from the published dimensions (rev. 2025-06-18) · three-view / part drawings / cut list / 3D
What this template builds for you
Taiwan's Class C furniture-woodworking trade test has three practical questions; you draw one on the day and have four hours. Question 1 (01200-100301) is a 320×120×350 mm rack: two side panels whose four edges are all different (back edge vertical, top edge dropping 30 toward the front, bottom edge rising 15, depth 120 → 95), a standing back rail, a shelf with twin through tenons standing 10 mm proud, a dowelled lower rail, a stub-tenoned front lip, and a 6 mm plywood back housed in a rebate.
This template draws all of that from the published dimensions: rotate the 3D to see which face every mortise is on, print the part drawings to check your marking-out, and use the cut list to confirm the official stock (one 750×125 board, two 650×110 boards, one sheet of 6 mm plywood) is enough. The tenon proud amount is adjustable (the exam is 10 mm) if you want to practise flush through tenons first.
**Drawn from the published dimensions — not the official drawing. On test day follow the official paper from the Workforce Development Agency (owinform.wdasec.gov.tw).**

FAQ
Is this the official drawing?+
No. It is a practice template drawn from the dimensions published by the Skill Evaluation Center. On test day follow the official reference paper (question set 01200-100301-3, latest revision 2025-06-18).
What stock does the exam supply?+
Per candidate: 750×125×18.5 ×1, 650×110×18.5 ×2, 6 mm plywood 300×260 (one sheet for this question), Ø8×30 dowels ×12, Ø2.4×15 wood screws ×10, PVA glue. Spruce, pine or lauan (or similar knot-free wood).
How long is the test?+
Four hours (official schedule: 3 hours, lunch, then 1 hour). All three questions share the same stock and tool lists.
Why isn't the side panel a trapezoid?+
The back edge is vertical, but the top drops 30 toward the front, the bottom rises 15, and the front edge narrows from 120 to 95 — four different edges. That angled marking-out is exactly what the question tests.
